Guangzhou is at the north end of Zhujiang Delta in Guangdong province it’s the biggest city in the south of China and an important port of transportation. Guangzhou has many beautiful scenic spots, such as Yuexiushan, Orchid Garden, Liuhua Lake, White Cloud Mountain, Lotus Mountain and Litchi Bay etc. Famous historical spots are Sanyuanli, Huanghua mound, Guangxiao Temple, the imperial tomb of South Yue, Chenjia’s ancestral Temple etc. Guangdong food is famous all over the world. The fruit is also abundant in Guangzhou. Guangzhou, together with adjacent Shenzhen and Zhuhai, has become the most developed area in Zhujiang Delta. Near Guangzhou, there are many famous scenic spots in Foshan, Conghua, Panyu, Nanhai, Zhongshan and Xinhui. The most famous are the Dinghushan and the Qixing Rock in Zhaoqing City, which is located to the northeast of Guangzhou.
Shamian area in Guangzhou is the first foreign concession in Chinese history. There still keep buildings, streets and churches build in 19th centuries.
